I despair when I hear right-wing idiots commenting on what "leadership" is.
They believe Jeremy Corbyn is a weak leader because the media and the Tories and every other party for themselves and of themselves up their own fundament, repeat every day that he is. A weak leader would not have won the leadership of the Labour Party in the first place given the dirty tricks used against him, which he rose above and continues to do so. A weak leader wouldn't have won a re-election as party leader with the media and most of his PLP using dirty tricks to unseat him. A weak leader wouldn't enter an election campaign with a manifesto to rival the revolutionary post-war manifesto of the first majority elected Labour government, a government which gave us so many things.
Jeremy Corbyn is a leader who doesn't demand respect, he commands respect. I used to tell my team leaders when I was a manager in industry this one thing above all others: you don't get respect because you are on a higher pay grade than them; you don't get it because you have a higher intellect or a better education than them; you don't get it because you own your own home and they rent theirs; you don't get it because you are older or fitter or stronger than them. You earn respect, it isn't automatically given, and the way you earn respect is with your words and your deeds!
''Jeremy Corbyn has spent his whole life in Parliament doing just that. That is what a strong leader does.''
This is from the twitter account of Jeremy Corbyn. He tweeted, 'Pension age is due to rise to 66 by the end of 2020. Labour rejects the Tory proposal to increase the state pension age even further. '
If we allow the Tories back in to govern, we're electing the party who put up the pension age and who could very likely put that pension age up further again. Do we really want this to happen?
It's time for Britain to do the right thing. If the Conservative's won't back ordinary people, it's time for Conservative voters to do the right thing! That right thing to do, is to vote for fair policies and for a government for the many. We all must do the right thing and vote Labour on June 8th
